Deadly Threats and Social Media Harassment
An Indiana man accused of stalking and harassing WNBA player Sophie Cunningham was charged Thursday with several felony counts after his alleged threatening and explicit messages on social media reached a critical point. The incident, which involves a lengthy period of behavioral escalation, has sparked a legal investigation with significant implications for workplace safety and digital harassment.
Charges and Legal Context
Kevin Singh, 48, who was arrested on Wednesday, has been formally charged with intimidation, stalking, and harassment by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. The legal filing confirms that his behavior toward Indiana Fever player Cunningham intensified in February and persisted for months, culminating in criminal charges.

Incident Details
According to the probable cause affidavit obtained by Global News, Singh attempted to hand-deliver a package to Cunningham at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, an indoor arena in Indianapolis, on March 18th. Security staff discovered a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt sprayed with men’s cologne and an envelope labeled 'Sophie' containing a letter with Singh’s phone number.
Social Media Evidence
Authorities have identified social media posts from an account bearing the handle just_kev_kevin that suggest awareness of Cunningham’s location. These posts, along with Instagram messages from a similar account and the phone number found in the package, have formed a significant portion of the evidence. Catilin Scott, associate director of Analysis and Investigations for Pacers Sports and Entertainment, reported monitoring Singh’s activity since December 2025.
Legal History
Singh is currently on probation in Hendricks County after pleading guilty to two counts of invasion of privacy in 2025. While five other felony charges were dismissed, the recent indictment represents the second instance of stalking charges involving an Indiana Fever player. In July 2025, Michael Lewis from Texas was sentenced to nearly 2.5 years in prison for similar behavior toward Caitlin Clark.
Prosecutor Statement
“The internet has made it easier than ever to target, harass and intimidate others. Threats of violence, whether face-to-face or behind a keyboard, will be taken seriously,” said Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears. “Coming forward is never easy, regardless of a person’s position or public profile. The victim is setting an example by speaking out. No one should have to endure harassment, intimidation or threats of violence, and every person deserves to feel safe in their workplace and throughout our community.”
Related Cases
Michael Lewis (55, Texas) faced similar charges in 2025, resulting in a prison sentence for stalking and harassment toward Caitlin Clark, who plays on the same team as Cunningham.
Investigation Scope
The prosecution highlights that Singh’s conduct has crossed multiple boundaries - from unauthorized deliveries to targeted social media attacks - demonstrating a pattern of escalating behavior. This legal action underscores the importance of digital accountability while advocating for victims of harassment to seek justice.
